Meetings can be a challenge at the best of times. Facilitating virtual meetings brings another layer of challenges for the meeting leader. How can we meet our objectives, keep people engaged and make decisions, whilst staying efficient in terms of time and energy?
This bite-size or half-day virtual classroom draws on best practice from face to face meetings, providing techniques and tips for managing a successful meeting on-line.
We encourage participants to make best use of their platform – audio, chat, annotation tools etc – and how to support people through technical glitches. Technical advice relating to specific software packages is not included.
Each participant will need their own computer (not ipad or phone) and audio facility (phone or VOIP).
A group size of 6 is recommended.
I found the content very useful, informative and comprehensive – some good tools to approach specific challenges
The online platform worked very well. Easy to navigate, both presentation and interactive tools were very good……a very positive online training experience.
The small group made it easy for us all to contribute and discuss in some detail the content and the fabulous slides.
I thought the Webex format worked well. I enjoyed the interactive activities and the quiz…..all my questions were answered.
